Regulatory Compliance Internship (3 - 6 months, full-time, paid) 

Sinolytics accepts internship applications for our regulatory compliance team. 

The internship is based in Beijing, China or Berlin, Germany. 

Sinolytics welcomes applications on a rolling basis for paid, full-time regulatory compliance internships with a minimum duration of three months. The positions are open to current students or recent graduates. We offer competitive salaries.  

Sinolytics is a young and fast-paced business consultancy with offices in Beijing and Berlin. Our diverse group of experienced professionals is united by our passion for analyzing China’s development and the joy we find in combining in-depth research with hands-on problem solving. As an intern in our regulatory compliance team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to client assignments and gain first-hand experience in China-focused regulatory compliance consulting for international companies. 

Key activities: 

• Support regulatory compliance risk assessments for corporate social credit, cyber and data security 
• Conduct regulatory monitoring, research and analysis 

• Participate in internal meetings and training sessions
• Present findings and assess results in internal discussions 
• Interact with corporate clients, participate in client interviews and meetings 
• Assist in the preparation of project deliverables: client briefings, presentation materials, reports, etc. 
• Support administrative tasks and other assignments as required

Requirements:

• Academic studies in law, political science, cyber security, IT, China studies or other relevant field 
• Strong analytical skills, high precision, curiosity, and passion for continuous learning 
• Diligent and detail-oriented approach to tasks and assignments 
• Ability to work independently and self-directed in a fast-paced environment 
• Proficiency in Chinese and English

Strategy Consulting Internship (3 - 6 months, full-time, paid)

The internship is based in Beijing, China or Berlin, Germany. 

Sinolytics welcomes applications for paid, full-time strategy consulting internships with a minimum duration of three months. The positions are open to currently enrolled students or recent graduates. We offer competitive salaries.

• Conduct in-depth research, analysis and policy monitoring on diverse topics (e.g. geopolitics, China's industrial and technology policies) across industry sectors 

• Collect, synthesize, and organize relevant data and information into accurate and timely outputs 
• Assist in the preparation of client communications and presentation materials 
• Participate in internal meetings, discussions, and training sessions
• Support administrative tasks and other assignments as required

Requirements: 

• Academic studies in economics, business administration, political science, China studies or other relevant field 
• Strong analytical skills, high precision, curiosity, and passion for continuous learning  
• Openness to questioning and rethinking conventional assumptions 
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment 
• Proficiency in Chinese and English
